Danielle specializes in public affairs management, media strategy, advertising, and crisis communications in both English and Spanish. During her time with Mercury, Danielle has developed and implemented successful communications and public affairs strategies for clients across various industries, including multinational corporations, political campaigns, market disrupters, healthcare clients, commercial real estate, and foreign governments.
Built on over years of experience in the fast-paced environment of political and public affairs campaigns, Danielle specializes in combining survey research and data with targeted advocacy, grassroots mobilization, and traditional media to mitigate crisis. Danielle has been intimately involved in numerous high-stakes public affairs projects to help build public support and mitigate public opposition in the energy, health care and real estate industries, among others.
Most recently, Danielle served as the Director of External affairs at Enterprise Florida, Florida’s primary organization devoted to statewide economic development. There she was responsible for communications, government relations, and stakeholder relations for businesses and economic development organizations (EDO) throughout the state.
Danielle previously served as the Press Secretary for Florida Lt. Governor Carlos López-Cantera, traveling extensively throughout Florida – the third-most populous state in the country with approximately 20 million residents – to promote Governor Rick Scott’s budget, policies and initiatives. She also managed all communication for the Lt. Governor, who is the first Hispanic in state history to serve in the role, for both English and Spanish-language media.
During the 2014 election cycle, Danielle was the Statewide Events Coordinator for the successful re-election campaign of Governor Rick Scott (R-Fla.), coordinating on-site logistics and directing news media at events, interviews, rallies and bus tours across the state. Governor Scott also holds the distinction of being only the second Republican in Florida history to win reelection. Danielle was also the Regional Director for South Florida, representing Governor Scott in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe counties from 2011-2014.
In addition to her service for the Governor and Lt. Governor, Danielle worked as a Regional Director for the Republican Party of Florida from 2012 to 2013, managing voter outreach and grassroots contacts and identifying key leaders and surrogates for targeted outreach and messaging. Prior to that role, she held an administrative position in the House of Representatives.
Danielle earned a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Spanish from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Danielle is married to Michael Ryder and lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
