Katya Myagkova is a Vice President in Mercury’s Washington, D.C. office. She supports multiple client projects that involve advocacy strategy, corporate public relations and public policy research in areas including global health, consumer rights, energy and education at the state, federal and international levels.

Conducted research and prepared analytic reports on alternative energy investments for High Net Worth clients and investors at a major global hedge fund in Washington, D.C.

Coordinated a women’s global sustainability initiative conference for a boutique environmental consultancy

Katya Myagkova is a Vice President in Mercury’s Washington, D.C office. She supports multiple client projects that involve advocacy strategy, corporate public relations and public policy research in areas including global health, consumer rights, energy and education at the state, federal and international levels.

Prior to joining Mercury, Katya worked, studied and lived in five different major cities around the world. Most recently, she worked for a major global hedge fund, where she conducted research and prepared analytic reports on alternative energy investments for High Net Worth clients and investors, as well as a boutique environmental consultancy, where she coordinated a global sustainability initiative conference for women.

Previously, Katya spent two summers interning at the Federation of Austrian Industry in Vienna, Austria, where her research and work in energy efficiency policy and international relations was used in discussions among industry leaders, policymakers and BUSINESSEUROPE members – the leading lobbying organization representing economic and social enterprises throughout Europe.

A native of the Washington, D.C. area, Katya holds a Master of Science in Environmental Policy from the London School of Economics, as well as a Bachelor of Commerce in International Management, Finance and Environmental Science from McGill University. She is an avid traveler and fluent speaker of Russian and French.
