Trent Lefkowitz is a Managing Director in Mercury's Washington, D.C. office, where he provides strategic government relations counsel, policy analysis, and advocacy support to corporations, trade associations, foreign governments, and other organizations navigating the federal policy landscape.
With nearly a decade of experience in direct lobbying, federal government relations, and strategic advisory services, Trent helps clients identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and advance their policy and business objectives in Washington.
Trent advises clients on a wide range of legislative, regulatory, and geopolitical issues, drawing on deep expertise in congressional engagement, public policy research, and stakeholder outreach. His work includes helping companies respond to emerging policy challenges, navigate trade and tariff concerns, and engage effectively with policymakers and government officials. He regularly monitors and analyzes congressional activity, executive branch developments, think tank research, and broader political trends to develop actionable strategies that support client priorities.

He also advises foreign governments on U.S. policy developments, facilitates engagement with American counterparts, and provides guidance on strengthening bilateral relationships and advancing diplomatic and economic objectives within the United States.
A native of Harrison, New York, Trent graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Affairs and Middle Eastern Studies and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He is conversant in Arabic and served as an editor of The Cavalier Daily, the University's student newspaper. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife, Jean.
