With over a decade of political experience, Tyler has a deep understanding of all facets of effective campaign work including digital strategy, communications, grassroots mobilization and fundraising.

Before joining Mercury, Tyler spent nearly ten years at the Republican National Committee. At the RNC, Tyler served in a senior role as the Committee built its digital infrastructure from a six-person staff to one of the largest and most effective digital, data, and technology operations in Republican politics. During his tenure, the RNC broke new ground in online voter registration and turnout, experienced record-breaking fundraising success and achieved historic electoral victories at the federal, state and local level.

Previously, Tyler served as the Republican National Committee’s Deputy Director of Communications. In that role, he helped build a diverse national communications team in preparation for the 2012 presidential election, including the Committee’s first in-house web video content team. He also worked closely with senior communicators on Capitol Hill and beyond to develop effective long-term messaging strategies.

In 2009, Tyler was the RNC’s Director of Rapid Response where he monitored the Obama White House and crafted message strategies intended to shape the national political narrative. He specialized in using digital media platforms, online video production, and social media network effects to maximize reach and impact.

Tyler is a veteran of the last three presidential elections as well as numerous congressional campaigns serving in a variety of roles responsible for management, messaging, and field deployment. He also served as a Communications Director for a Virginia member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

A graduate of the University of Virginia, Tyler resides in Alexandria with his wife, Jacquie, and their three children.
