Growing LA Office Adds Team of Experts in Digitial Mobilization and Advocacy

Los Angeles, Calif., Oct. 28, 2013 — Mercury has announced the acquisition of Englin Consulting, a leader in digital mobilization, advocacy, and strategic communications. Shayna Englin, founder and principal of Englin Consulting, will join Mercury’s Los Angeles office as Managing Director. Two Englin Consulting veterans, Danny Barefoot and Callie Thompson, will also join the Mercury team.

For the last eight years, Englin Consulting has helped a variety of organizations and campaigns across the country mobilize people to impact policy and politics. Englin has also been a leader in identifying and working to address the “Advocacy Gap,” which is the disconnect between what activists do to affect political change and what Congressional staff say actually makes an impact.
