Andrea will leverage her extensive experience in public affairs at the national, state and local level to help clients with government affairs, media relations and crisis communications needs.
“Andrea is a seasoned communications and political strategist, she brings a unique combination of both national and local experience to Buffalo,” said Mercury Partner Michael McKeon, who leads the firm’s New York City office. “With over a decade of experience in media relations, government affairs and crisis communications Andrea’s extensive knowledge will be a tremendous asset for our clients as we build our business in Buffalo.”
Bozek was the first person to serve as Communications Director for both the House and Senate campaign arms of the United States Congress. Most recently, Andrea was the Communications Director at the National Republican Senatorial Committee. In that role, she was the primary spokeswoman for national print, radio, and television outlets for the NRSC and served as the chief public relations strategist for all 2016 Senate campaigns. She has also been involved in several political campaigns both at the presidential and congressional levels. In addition to her national experience, Andrea has served as Communication Director and Legislative Assistant for two Western New York Congressmen, Thomas Reynolds and Christopher Lee.
“I am excited to join such a well-respected firm and to lead Mercury’s efforts in my hometown of Buffalo, New York,” said Senior Vice President Andrea Bozek. “I am looking forward to using my deep understanding of the current government affairs landscape, media and public relations experience to help clients achieve success.”
As Senior Vice President, Tyler Brown is joining Mercury’s global digital practice. His years of experience with digital strategy, tactics, messaging and grassroots activation at the Republican National Committee will be put to use in providing expert guidance to clients regarding emerging digital platforms, compelling content creation, email strategy and social media practices.
“I am thrilled that Tyler is joining our growing digital practice; his digital work on behalf of the RNC will be a huge benefit to both Mercury and its clients,” said Managing Director Jim Roberts, who leads Mercury’s digital practice. “We’re looking forward to having Tyler help us design and execute campaigns that recognize the growing opportunities of digital and social channels.”
Tyler has deep experience in all facets of political campaigning including digital, communications, grassroots mobilization and fundraising. A long-time veteran of the Republican National Committee, he served in a senior role over the past six years as the Committee rebuilt its digital infrastructure on the way to historic electoral victories. Most recently he served as the Committee’s Digital Director, where he played a central role in the build-out of a robust Digital Strategy team that broke new ground in the areas of voter registration, GOTV, message amplification and record-breaking fundraising success. Previously he served as the RNC’s Deputy Communications Director and Director of Rapid Response. Tyler has worked on the last three presidential campaigns and as well as numerous congressional campaigns. He also served in a communications capacity in the U.S. of House of Representatives.
“Successful digital campaigns rely on a disciplined effort to integrate and reinforce messages across multiple channels, both online and off,” said Senior Vice President Tyler Brown. “They require an intense focus on the experience of the end user on a personal level and not just as part of a larger data set. I’m excited to join Mercury and their talented team.
