Michael Soliman is the President of Mercury and oversees the firm's New Jersey and Pennsylvania operations. Partnering closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the firm's leadership team, he helps shape Mercury's strategic direction and growth initiatives nationally while helping align the firm's network of partners around shared priorities. He serves as a principal voice in business development and works to strengthen client relationships, expand strategic opportunities, and advance Mercury's long-term objectives. He joined Mercury as a Managing Director in 2013.
Recognized for his extensive experience in New Jersey and congressional politics, Soliman advises elected officials and public leaders at both the state and federal levels. His deep understanding of government and his longstanding relationships across the public and private sectors make him a valued advisor to organizations navigating complex political, regulatory, and public affairs challenges.

Soliman works closely with members of New Jersey's Congressional delegation and is a trusted advisor to U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer, a leader in artificial intelligence and founding Co-Chair of the House Commission on Artificial Intelligence. His career spans more than two decades and includes senior positions in government, public affairs, and political campaigns. Soliman served as U.S. Congressman Rob Menendez's top political advisor during his 2022 and 2024 campaigns. He was a key advisor to U.S. Senator Cory Booker during his 2014 campaign and has provided strategic counsel to the late U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg, former Governor Jon Corzine, and former Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop, among others. Previously, Soliman served as State Director and senior political advisor to U.S. Senator Bob Menendez, helping lead successful re-election efforts in 2012 and 2018. He also served as District Director for U.S. Congressman Steve Rothman and was selected to serve on Governor Phil Murphy's transition team following his election.
Soliman is a Guest Lecturer at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University, where he teaches Media, Democracy, and Public Policy.
Soliman holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Saint Peter's University and a Master of Public Administration degree from the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University.
