Lara Laird
Director
Before joining Mercury, Lara Laird served as Vice President of Finance and Operations at a small association management company for three years, after previously holding the role of Director of Operations from 2018-2021. In this capacity, Lara oversaw the daily operations of staff, managed the company’s annual operating budget, led client transitions, and supervised various technology initiatives. Lara also played a key role in the company’s reaccreditation process, ensuring compliance with international standards.
In addition to overseeing company operations, Lara managed client accounts, as well as finance and technology vendors and consultants. She was responsible for financial processes for both the company and client associations. She also served as Associate Director and interim Executive Director of multiple clients.
Before stepping into management roles, Lara gained experience as a Program Assistant where she managed international education programs, coordinated events, organized publications, and provided administrative support for membership activities.
