Powell’s Addition and Recent Leadership in the Office of Public Liaison Deepens Mercury’s Administration Ties
Washington, D.C. [January 8, 2026] – Mercury Public Affairs, a leading national bipartisan public strategy firm, today announced that it has added Brette Powell as a managing director on its government relations team. Brette most recently served as Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of the White House Office of Public Liaison.

Prior to the White House, Brette was Director of Strategic Political Stakeholder Engagement for the Donald J. Trump for President 2024 campaign and the Republican National Committee. In this position, she led national outreach efforts to build and strengthen relationships with key political, grassroots, and issue-based constituencies across the country, overseeing a broad portfolio of partnerships and public-facing initiatives.
