March 3, 2025

Saddle Brook, NJ – Mercury Public Affairs, a top bipartisan high-stakes public strategy firm, today announced that Megan Coyne, one of the most successful political digital strategists in the country, is joining its national team as Vice President.

“Megan knows how to create the content that cuts through noise – a skill that’s more important now than ever before. She has a successful track record of highly effective messaging at both the New Jersey Governor’s Office and the White House,” said Mercury Partner Michael Soliman, who leads the New Jersey office and helps guide the firm’s national strategy. “I’m thrilled to welcome her to our digital team and I know she will be a huge asset to our clients both in New Jersey and nationally.”

Prior to joining Mercury, Coyne served as Deputy Director of Platforms in the White House Office of Digital Strategy, where she led digital content creation and crafted a voice for the Biden/Harris administration. She also helped launch the first-ever White House Reddit account. Across all platforms, Coyne’s work reached a combined audience of 31 million followers.

I’m excited to join Mercury and work with the team that is known as the leader in political communications,” said Coyne. “After serving in the White House and New Jersey’s Governor’s Office, I’m looking forward to bringing my experience and expertise to Mercury’s clients and helping them achieve digital success.”

Before her time at the White House, Megan served as Social Media Director in the Office of Governor Phil Murphy where she established the online voices of the Governor and First Lady, played a key role in the state’s COVID-19 communications and turned the official New Jersey X account into a viral sensation.

“Through her incredible success, Megan has changed the way people think of digital communications and I look forward to her bringing that perspective to our team,” said Mercury Partner Mo Butler. “I’m looking forward to watching her work her magic for our clients.”

Megan was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 – Media list in 2022. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rutgers University.
