Former Sr Advisor to Trump Campaign returned to Mercury earlier this year – assuming leadership role in the firm
Washington, D.C. / Florida [September 8, 2025]– Leading bipartisan public strategy firm Mercury Public Affairs announced today that Danielle Alvarez has been promoted to Partner. Alvarez, who returned to the firm earlier this year as a Managing Director, brings extensive experience in national politics, media, and public affairs back to Mercury. She most recently served as a Senior Advisor to President Donald J. Trump’s winning 2024 campaign.
“Danielle is one of the most dynamic and respected media and public affairs strategists in the country,” said Kieran Mahoney, CEO of Mercury. “We were proud to welcome her back and are even prouder to announce her promotion to Partner today. Her unmatched experience at the highest levels of politics, paired with her deep understanding of public affairs and communications, makes her an invaluable asset to our clients and our firm.”
Alvarez has held several senior leadership positions in Republican politics. Before her 2024 role as Senior Advisor to President Trump’s campaign, she served as Communications Director for the Republican National Committee (RNC) during the 2022 midterm elections. She was also Communications Director for the Southern Gulf region on President Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign, where she led communications strategy across the battleground states of Florida, North Carolina, and Georgia.
In addition to her national political roles, Alvarez was a Senior Vice President of Public Relations at Mercury in Florida, where she developed and executed successful strategies for clients across industries, including multinational corporations, healthcare, real estate, political campaigns, and start-ups. She also previously served in Governor Rick Scott’s administration.
“I rejoined Mercury at a time of tremendous growth and opportunity and am really looking forward to joining the leadership of the firm as we move to the next chapter,” said Mercury Partner Danielle Alvarez. “We are uniquely positioned to deliver results for clients across politics, business, and in all areas of advocacy. We have an exceptional team to build on a solid record of success.”
