September 3, 2025

Los Angeles, CA [August 13, 2025] – Mercury Public Affairs is pleased to announce that Seamus Garrity has joined the firm as a Managing Director based in Los Angeles. A native Angeleno from the city’s Westside, Garrity brings over a decade of experience in political strategy, government affairs, and campaign leadership. He has worked extensively across both Los Angeles and Sacramento—helping clients navigate California’s most complex policy and regulatory environments.

“Seamus has an established reputation for delivering results across challenging issues in key California markets,” said Mercury Partner, Co-Chair, and California Lead Veronica Perez. “His experience brings important depth and expertise to our growing team—we are thrilled to have him on board.”

“I look forward to bringing my experience to Mercury’s dynamic and highly respected team in Los Angeles and Sacramento,” said Seamus Garrity. “This role offers a unique opportunity to continue bridging the policy landscape between California’s major political centers and to deliver results for clients across sectors.”

Garrity began his career in the California State Assembly, where he served as a senior advisor on transportation and housing policy. He later served as a campaign director and public affairs consultant, advising a wide range of clients on housing, land use, infrastructure, and state budget strategy. His work has focused on aligning state and local priorities to deliver meaningful outcomes on critical issues.

Garrity is widely recognized for his ability to build coalitions, lead advocacy efforts, and manage multi-jurisdictional initiatives—with work spanning across efforts to address homelessness, increase affordable housing, and secure funding for major infrastructure projects throughout the state.
