Andrea Perry is a Vice President in Mercury’s New York City office, with a wide range of legislative, regulatory and government relations experience.

Previously, Andrea was a policy advocate for Californians for Safety and Justice, a non-profit dedicated to stopping the cycle of crime, reducing reliance on incarceration and building healthy communities.

In addition, Andrea has several years of legislative experience working in the California State Assembly and the California State Senate, including legislative work in public safety, local government, labor, energy and the environment. Her experience also includes serving as a multi-state lobbyist for a renewable energy company.

Andrea, a former collegiate swimmer, found her passion for advocacy while volunteering for after-school programs. She has volunteered for many different organizations, including Habitat for Humanity and the Susan B Komen Foundation. Andrea teaches free swim lessons during the summer for underprivileged kids and technical training for high school students.

Andrea graduated from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with a B.A. in political science and has an Executive Masters in public administration with a focus on public policy from Golden Gate University. She currently lives in Sacramento.
