Representative Jeff Miller is a Co-Chairman in Mercury’s Washington, D.C. and Tampa, FL offices. Prior to joining the firm, he represented Florida’s 1st Congressional District from 2001 to 2017 in the U.S. House of Representatives.

In Congress, Jeff chaired the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee for three terms and also served as a senior member of the House Armed Services Committee and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. During his tenure, he championed numerous pieces of legislation to support veterans and provide tax relief to American citizens. In the House, Jeff was known for his conservative principles and voting record, as well as his bipartisan ability to get things done.

Before entering Congress, Jeff served two terms in the Florida House of Representatives, where he chaired the Utilities & Telecommunications Committee. He was also a member of the Congressional Redistricting Committee, the Committee on General Government Appropriations, the Committee on Rules, Ethics & Elections and the Council for Ready Infrastructure.

Jeff received his B.A. in broadcast news from the University of Florida in 1984. He and his wife Vicki have two children, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
