Ted Anastasiou is a government relations attorney who represents businesses from early stage startups to multinational companies in a range of industries, including artificial intelligence, robotics, hospitality, fashion and real estate.

During his tenure at the firm, Ted has developed and implemented successful public affairs campaigns that integrate legal, policy, advocacy and communications strategies. He has delivered measurable, winning outcomes at all levels of government, and his client work has been extensively covered in national and local media outlets.

Previously, Ted was senior counsel for Wyndham Destinations, a global hospitality company, and previously held the same role at its predecessor, Wyndham Worldwide. In addition to his legal work for internal clients, Ted helped build Wyndham’s government relations and regulatory infrastructure, including the Company’s public policy agenda, legislative strategy and execution, crisis communications framework, and sourcing and managing all external consultants supporting Wyndham’s lobbying efforts. Before joining Wyndham, Ted worked as a government relations attorney representing public and multinational companies in the energy and consumer products industries.

While at Wyndham, Ted founded a startup in July 2018, which provides political technology products for campaign, government and advocacy clients to improve voter and constituent outreach. Responsible for product strategy and business development, Ted scaled the company to over 100 clients in 31 states. Clients include current local governments, consulting companies, unions, non-profits, and incumbent federal, state and local elected officials.

From 2013 to 2016, Ted was an executive appointee for the Cuomo Administration, as the Assistant Counsel for the New York State Department of Financial Services, where he was responsible for developing new legislation, policies and enforcement actions for banking, real estate and insurance industries, in addition to being a speechwriter for senior agency leadership.

Prior to his political appointment, Ted served President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign as the statewide Deputy Counsel of Voter Protection for Pennsylvania. Ted has advised presidential and gubernatorial campaigns on election law issues in multiple states and has served as a staffer for the 2008 Obama presidential campaign and Andrew Cuomo’s 2010 campaign. Ted graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 2012. While at law school, Ted was elected by representatives from 95 law schools to serve as the National Chair of the official law student arm of the Democratic National Committee. Ted obtained his Bachelor’s in Political Science from New York University in 2007.
