Angelica Almonte is an Associate in Mercury’s New York City office where she supports the government relations and public affairs teams.

Angelica Almonte is an Associate in Mercury’s New York City office where she supports the government relations and public affairs teams.

Prior to becoming a full-time Associate, Angelica was an intern with Mercury during her senior year of college. She has also interned for New York State Senator Todd Kaminsky, where she facilitated the closure of over 300 dormant unemployment cases set forth by the COVID-19 pandemic. Angelica regularly works with and volunteers for the Nassau County Democratic Committee.

In 2017, Angelica founded a GirlUp chapter in Lynbrook, NY–a girl-centered leadership development initiative focusing on equity for women and girls. She is still heavily involved with the chapter and mentors the club’s executive board.

Angelica is from Hewlett, New York and a recent graduate of the University of Miami, where she earned her B.A. in political science with minors in strategic communication and philosophy.
