Before joining Mercury, Bernardo worked at Forbes Tate Partners in the Research and Policy Analysis practice and at the Hudson Institute as Research Intern for the South and Central Asian Division. He was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics with a minor in Asian Studies from the University of Notre Dame. During the 2018 midterm elections, while studying at Notre Dame, Bernardo volunteered for former Rep. Jackie Walorski’s re-election campaign. In his downtime, Bernardo is almost always cycling and training for his next endurance competitions.
