Jordan Kaplan is a Managing Director at Mercury Public Affairs. Previously, he was the Chief Development Officer at the Obama Foundation leading the team responsible for securing the funds necessary to design, build, and endow the Obama Presidential Center as well as the Foundation’s programs and ongoing operations. Jordan served as the National Finance Director of the Democratic National Committee from 2013 to 2016. Jordan served in leadership roles on the Finance teams of President Obama’s 2008 and 2012 campaigns. He also led fundraising efforts for Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s mayoral campaigns and served as an aide to Mayor Emanuel in City Hall. He began his fundraising career with President Obama in 2004 as the Illinois Downstate Finance Director. He is also a member of the USA Swimming Foundation Board.
Jordan earned a bachelor’s degree from Connecticut College. A native of Joliet, Illinois, Jordan currently resides in Bethesda, MD with his wife and three children.
