Michael Shulansky is a Vice President in Mercury’s New York City office where he brings an extensive knowledge of strategic communications, politics, and rapid response.

Was the Associate Director of Communications and Media Relations for Stonehill College, where he served as a communications strategist, spokesman, rapid response coordinator, and managed institutional messaging.

Helped to pass the Connecticut’s first major education reform bill in 20 years while at ConnCAN

Michael Shulansky is a Vice President in Mercury’s New York City office where he brings an extensive knowledge of strategic communications, politics, and rapid response.

Prior to joining Mercury, Shulansky served as Communications Director for the America250 Foundation—the non-profit partner of the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission, which is responsible for planning the national commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. There, Shulansky managed brand and messaging development, media strategy, speechwriting, and crisis communications.

Previously, Shulansky was Associate Director of Communications and Media Relations for Stonehill College, where he served as a communications strategist, spokesman, rapid response coordinator, and managed institutional messaging.

Shulansky began his career in Connecticut politics, first helping to pass the state’s first major education reform bill in 20 years while at ConnCAN, and then helped to secure approval of and funding for several new charter schools while at the Northeast Charter Schools Network.

Shulansky is a native of West Hartford, CT and is a graduate of Hofstra University with a B.A. in economics. He currently lives in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn.
