Skylar is a Vice President in Mercury’s Florida office.

Prior to joining Mercury, Skylar served as Deputy Digital Director for Governor Ron DeSantis’s reelection campaign.

Worked as Communication Director for Senator Keith Perry’s State Senate campaign and Florida’s House Majority Office.

Skylar earned her Bachelor’s degree in Editing, Writing, and Media from Florida State University and her Masters in political communication from the University of Florida.

Skylar is a Vice President in Mercury’s Florida office. She brings nearly a decade of experience in political communications, digital marketing and strategy, legislative affairs and political campaigning. Prior to joining Mercury, Skylar served as Deputy Digital Director for Governor Ron DeSantis’s reelection campaign, where she executed messaging and strategy for the campaign’s digital fundraising efforts.

Skylar began her career in Florida politics in 2015 after graduating from Florida State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Editing, Writing, and Media. Starting in Senator Keith Perry’s legislative offices, Skylar also worked as a member of Senator Perry’s campaign staff where she served as Communication’s Director for his 2016 and 2018 State Senate campaigns.

Following Senator Perry’s 2018 campaign victory, Skylar transitioned to the Florida House of Representatives to serve as Communications Director for the House Majority Office, where she crafted messaging for key policy initiatives, facilitated state and national interviews for House leadership, and managed the Majority Caucus’s digital messaging. Skylar also worked on Attorney General Ashley Moody’s communications team. In 2022, Skylar earned a Master’s degree in political communication from the University of Florida.
