Susannah Vickers is a Managing Director at Mercury.

Served as the Chief Sustainability Officer of Breen Energy, an alternative energy start-up building out the infrastructure to increase the utilization of sustainable aviation fuel.

Former New York City Assistant Comptroller for Pensions and designated trustee to the NYC pension systems, the nation’s fourth largest public pension plan.

Served as Executive Director of the non-profit Lafayette Square Foundation.

Former Director of Budget & Grants for the Office of the Manhattan Borough President.

Received her B.A. in Political Studies from Pitzer College and a Masters of Public Administration in Policy Formation from NYU Wagner School of Public Service.

Susannah Vickers is a Managing Director at Mercury. Prior to joining Mercury, she served as the Chief Sustainability Officer of Breen Energy, an alternative energy start-up building out the infrastructure to increase the utilization of sustainable aviation fuel. She has also served as Executive Director of the non-profit Lafayette Square Foundation.

Susannah was also the New York City Assistant Comptroller for Pensions and designated trustee to the NYC pension systems, the nation’s fourth largest public pension plan. Under her leadership, the systems developed a multi-pronged strategy to address climate risk, which resulted in the largest U.S. public pension fund divestment from fossil fuel securities to date and doubled investments in climate change solutions. Susannah also led the systems’ Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs, including the creation of new standards for disclosure of diversity statistics, development of asset class emerging manager programs and production of one of the nation’s largest conferences for diverse and emerging investment managers.

Prior to that, Susannah served as the Director of Budget & Grants for the Office of the Manhattan Borough President, planning and developing the office’s discretionary grant programs for City cultural, non-profit and agency capital budget and programmatic projects. She also served as Chief of Staff to a New York State Assemblymember.

Susannah earned a Certificate in Board Effectiveness from the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management International Centre for Pension Management, and received a Masters of Public Administration in Policy Formation from NYU Wagner School of Public Service and her Bachelors in Political Studies from Pitzer College. She lives in Brooklyn, NY with her teenage daughter.
