Senior Vice President
Alex Fulton is a Senior Vice President in Mercury's California office, where he advises nonprofit organizations, think tanks, advocacy organizations, political leaders, and public affairs clients on political strategy, public affairs, communications, and stakeholder engagement.
With more than 15 years of experience working across more than 30 states, Alex helps clients navigate complex political environments, build coalitions, advance their goals, and solve complex public affairs challenges.
Prior to joining Mercury, Alex founded and served as President of McCandless Group Strategies, a national political and public affairs consulting firm, where he advised clients on political strategy, issue advocacy, communications, stakeholder engagement, and campaign strategy. He also served as a strategic advisor to digital asset and cryptocurrency policy organizations. Alex also founded Game Day Media, which partners with universities to administer revenue sharing programs and helps student athletes identify and secure NIL opportunities in the evolving landscape of college athletics.
Earlier in his career, Alex held leadership roles with Guidepost Strategic Partners, Prosper Group, the Republican Party of Texas, and Associated Republicans of Texas. While at the Republican Party of Texas, he helped lead one of the largest voter registration efforts in Texas history and directly oversaw the statewide ground game for Senator John Cornyn's reelection campaign.
Originally from Silvis, Illinois, Alex attended Northern Illinois University and is based in Sacramento with his wife, Kristen Lippstreu, and their daughter.
