Julia Friedland is a Vice President in Mercury's Fort Lauderdale, Florida office. Julia has nearly a decade of experience crafting messaging that resonates with voters, leveraging digital media to generate earned media, and navigating crises with strategic communications. Prior to joining Mercury, she worked for SelectFlorida, the state of Florida’s official international commerce organization.
Previously, Julia held several senior roles in national and state Republican politics. She has served as a spokesperson in the Executive Office of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, directed the Republican Party of Florida’s press and digital operation as Communications Director, and served the Republican National Committee as the Communications Director for Florida during the 2022 midterm elections, where Republicans achieved sweeping victories across the state. She was also a key member of the Republican National Committee’s rapid response team during the 2020 presidential election.
Julia holds a B.A. in Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government from American University.
