Earlier in his career, Nick served as Chief of Staff to Senate Commerce Committee Chairman Joseph Lagana throughout Lagana’s tenure in the General Assembly and first four years in the State Senate. In that role, Nick helped guide legislation to regulate rideshare apps, enhance the prescription monitoring program, and reform school bus safety. He also oversaw political operations in one of the state’s most competitive districts.

Nick has advised many campaigns and candidates for local and statewide office. After serving as Deputy Director of the Bergen Democrats in 2012, he helped run their voter contact program for years to come. Nick has been recognized for his influence by outlets including New Jersey Globe, InsiderNJ, and ROI-NJ.
