Seamus Garrity is a Managing Director at Mercury Public Affairs based in Los Angeles. He is a seasoned political strategist with more than a decade of experience advancing policy, budget, and regulatory solutions across California. His work spans a wide range of sectors, with particular depth in housing, land use, transportation, and infrastructure.

Seamus began his career in the California State Assembly, where he served as a senior advisor on housing and transportation policy. He later built a successful public affairs practice at a California-based firm, leading campaigns and advocacy efforts on issues ranging from entitlement and project delivery to state funding and legislative strategy.

He is known for helping clients navigate complex, multi-jurisdictional challenges and for building durable coalitions between government, industry, and community stakeholders. His recent work includes coordinating regional partnerships to address homelessness, secure infrastructure investments, and deliver safety improvements in some of Los Angeles’s most high-profile public spaces.

A former Commissioner on the East Los Angeles Area Planning Commission and past member of the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council, Seamus is a classically trained pianist and avid cyclist committed to building a more connected, livable Los Angeles.
