Taylor Bollhagen is a seasoned political and communications strategist, specializing in public affairs and electoral campaigns. As part of his public sector work, he’s currently supporting strategic communications for California’s first-ever mandated health data exchange, the Data Exchange Framework. Taylor also spearheaded creative development and operations for the California Mortgage Relief Program's multilingual paid media campaign, an effort that helped reduce housing displacement during the COVID pandemic.

Taylor has held nearly every role on political campaigns, with his work spanning across the local, state, and federal levels. In 2024, Taylor played a key leadership role in passing California’s Prop 4, a $10 billion bond for climate projects, wildfire prevention, and safe drinking water. In 2020 he managed a high-profile congressional campaign in California’s Central Valley. In 2018, he served on Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers' successful race, after getting his start with Senator Russ Feingold’s campaign in 2016.

Prior to joining Mercury, Taylor worked at a leading California issue advocacy and political consulting firm, developing strategic insights and winning campaign tactics for complex initiatives across the state.
Taylor grew up in Laguna Hills, California, graduated with a B.A. in Communications and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and now lives in Los Angeles.
