X. Rick Niu is Founder & CEO of Nexus Worldwide LLC, a privately-held global financier and CEO adviser headquartered in New York.
Having led multinational businesses in developed and developing economies at AIG and ING for over 25 years, Mr. Niu invests in special-situation opportunities around the world, and advises world leaders, Fortune 500 CEOs, large asset owners, and prominent private families on 21st-century forces with global impact.
Recognized by consecutive U.S. Administrations as one of the most respected minds on pragmatic diplomacy, global dialogue and international business, Mr. Niu is regularly consulted by the world’s most important governments and corporations on major political economies such as the U.S. and Asia, geopolitical dynamics, frontier technology trends, and high-profile business transactions.
Mr. Niu is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Economic Club of New York. He was a Kissinger Fellow at the Wilson Center. Mr. Niu also serves as a Founding Advisory Council Co-Chair of the Asian American Foundation, and a Global Council member of Junior Achievement Worldwide, the world’s largest non-profit organization dedicated to educating youth in business entrepreneurship.
Fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Mr. Niu earned a B.S. from Tsinghua University in Beijing, and an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York. He also attended INSEAD’s Senior Executive Leadership Program in Paris and Singapore.
